Park Avenue Turf takes pride in serving a diverse and multifaceted group of customers.  We not only work on residential and recreational projects, but many commercial jobs as well.  We have recently been working on an airport job, lining the runways with Bermuda grass.

Our customer needed a type of turf that could withstand the intensity of the heat radiating off of the runway asphalt, as well as something low maintenance and durable. Because the airport will not have the ability to have a regular watering schedule during the hot summer months, we chose a very drought tolerant type of sod for this particular site.  We went ahead and laid Santa Anna Hybrid Bermuda grass for its ability to tolerate dry conditions and hot climates.

This type of sod also has the highest ability to repair itself, so it is an excellent choice for sports fields.
